Autumn Equinox : Crossing the Threshold

The Autumnal Equinox asks us to stand firmly on a threshold of transition, considering the harvest we wish to gather from summer months past and intentions we wish to set for the coming winter months.
PLEASE NOTE: The morning session is in the form of Kimberly’s weekly BodyMantra class and is included in the cost of the workshop. Attendance at the morning class is a requirement for attending the remainder of the day’s sessions. (Registrants for the workshop do *not* need to separately register for the morning class.)
Sessions will focus on self-guided, unchoreographed movement set to a carefully curated backdrop of evocative music, with the intention of unwinding, unpacking, releasing the body and mind. BodyMantra takes us from the quiet, still places deep inside of us to the wide, expansive expressions that stretch us to our edges. This is a physical practice and a spiritual practice. Designed to remind us who we are and all that we are capable of, both within our bodies as well as beyond our bodies.
In addition to moving, we will also spend time sharing with other participants, invoking the power of impeccable speech and observation in order to integrate the material being unleashed through the movement practice.
We will have a sacred altar during each session, so feel free to bring personal items of meaning – writings, drawings, objects, photos – that you would like to contribute for the course of the weekend. Consider bringing a journal and pen for tracking material that arises for you. We will break for a one-hour lunchtime each day; bring your own food to enjoy on-site or plan to visit nearby, quick eateries for this time. Closed water bottles are permitted in the movement space.
* Please note that when you register for this event online, you are accepting the BodyMantra General Waiver by default. $20 of the registration fee is non-refundable. For illness or emergency, the registration fee can be applied in full to a future BodyMantra event.
